Costes Restaurant opened its doors in 2008 on Ráday Street, which is one of Budapest’s most exciting gastronomic spots. After two years of tireless work, we won the title of the country’s first Michelin-star restaurant in 2010, which we have been proudly holding ever since. Over the years, our restaurant has become a culinary symbol not only of the city, but of the entire country as well.
And what is our secret, you may ask? Respect for tradition and passion for innovation. The use of first-class raw materials, the work of professional, experienced hands, and the fact that being the first is always a big responsibility. Together, these things make our food truly unique and special.

THE CHEF
JENŐ RÁCZ, the patron chef of Costes Restaurant, is both a master and a fan of culinary techniques. He is young, yet he already has a serious professional background. For years, he learned the trade from the world’s best chefs in the most important gastronomic capitals, including London, Copenhagen, Singapore and Shanghai.
For him, his work is a real profession, which he does with all his heart and soul, and this is confirmed by numerous professional recognitions. His name is familiar to many, as he appeared as a mentor and jury member in one of the most popular Hungarian cooking shows. He is a real innovator, and his special and unique food creations are known and mentioned with great satisfaction around the world.
